We are a small club approximately one mile from Leuchars on the road to St Andrews. Once you enter Guardbridge, travel down to the old paper mill site at a small bridge and turn right, go straight along until you can go no further and you will reach us. We are situated in a quiet residential area and our premises offer a good place to meet local people with a friendly atmosphere. We are the only community premises in the village.
With a small and friendly membership of about 35-40, we play outdoor bowls on the green from the beginning of April to the end of September. There are a mixture of friendly games among other local clubs, club competitions, league games and also more competitive matches such as in the Scottish, Fife and East of Scotland sections. If, however, you just want to come and have a relaxing and fun day with a game of bowls, we can accommodate that too.
Once the outdoor season is finished, we play carpet bowls indoors. This is a different game to playing outdoors on the green but is good way to pass the dark winter nights away. Here we also play in a small league and visit other local clubs.
A weekly bingo session takes place most Saturday nights at 7.30pm where members, guests and local residents are welcome to come along.
We have a small but well stocked bar which is run under regulated licensed hours. The bar is covered by unpaid club members and is therefore only opened when needed. As we are a ‘private club’, the bar is not generally open to the public but members are happy to sign in any visitors/guests should they wish to visit the premises. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
Why not come along and visit us to see what we can offer?
